Hand Knit Sweater and Pants for a 16 Inch Waldorf Doll
This cuddly set includes a hand knit pullover style sweater and cotton corduroy pants for your 16 inch Waldorf Doll. The yarn that I've used to create this classic pullover is premium, cushy Mecha from Malabrigo. This superwash merino is so soft and knits a bulkier sweater that reminds me of the hand me down garments of childhood. Sweater slides easily upward over the little feet and belly and closes in the back with two wooden buttons.
The soft medium blue corduroys complete the outfit. These cotton cords have an elastic waist to make them easier for little hands to dress and undress their wooly child.
Measuring from the front neckline to the bottom the sweater is 6 inches long and the sleeve length is 5 1/2 inches. The width, laying flat is 6 1/4 inches. Waist for the corduroy pants is 5 inches across, laying flat and 8 3/4 inches from waist to ankle. Inseam is 5 inches. I've measured carefully but there may be slight miscalculations.
Sweater may be hand washed in cold water and air dried flat. I find that the corduroy fabric is best machine washed on gentle and dried on a low or medium heat setting. They may be ironed with a pressing cloth. This will help preserve the soft nap.
